The two main attractions at Key Biscayne temporary housing famous Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Recreation
Area are the mile-long, white sand Atlantic beach and the 95-foot-tall lighthouse, the oldest structure in
south Florida. For more than 190 years this beacon has withstood battering by hurricanes and an 1836
Seminole attack. It was the only park building left standing after Hurricane Andrew blew through in 1992.
Beach Patrol is on duty at the Key Biscayne temporary housing and family-oriented beach from Memorial Day
to Labor Day, and swimming and sunbathing are the most popular activities. Anglers can try their luck ocean
fishing off the seawall, and there are plenty of picnic facilities available.
Other amenities include bathhouses, restrooms, two food concession facilities, aquatic and land based
recreation rentals, and beach chair and umbrella rentals.

Owned and operated by Miami-Dade County, Crandon Park is located on Key Biscayne temporary housing area
and has the longest beach in the Miami area. The two-mile-long strip of sand is used mainly for swimming
and sunbathing; it is lifeguarded. Visitors come year-round; midsummer temperatures run from mid-80s to
high 90s. The beach at Key Biscayne temporary housing area has two access points with restrooms. The park
at Key Biscayne temporary housing also has softball fields, a championship 18-hole golf course, volleyball
courts, tennis courts, and a children's amusement area complete with a carousel. Everything you need for a
day on the waterfront is available at the recently renovated marina, including restaurant facilities,
fishing supplies, and a store. Landscaped with palm trees and other tropical vegetation, the Key Biscayne
temporary housing area park opens at 8:00 AM. Located on Rickenbacker Causeway E of Miami.

This marine mammal theme park is home to Lolita the killer whale, who performs in educational shows daily.
Watch the Top Deck Dolphin Show or visit Flipper on the original lagoon where the "Flipper" TV show was
shot. Learn about the habits and habitats of the endangered manatee, believed to be the source of mermaid
