Art Deco Weekend
January 14-16. Step back in time and celebrate Art Deco style with live big bands and Art Deco artifacts and antiques. Features walking, bicycle and trolley tours, lectures, street theater and other unique events. Along Ocean Drive, between 5th and 15th Streets.

January 6-10. Participants from Europe, North America and Latin America showcase their high quality paintings, sculptures, photographs and works in glass, among other media. The 6th edition of Currents will showcase an international survey of cutting edge work by 19 galleries from around the world; Project Spaces feature an assortment of installations by selected artists. International Map Festival
February 5 and 6, 10am-5pm. Leading dealers, collectors, and experts of antique maps from around the world come together. Features 50 international dealers who exhibit and sell maps. Exhibitors also include the Library of Congress and the International Map Collector's Society. For the novice and expert. $10 for adults. Historical Museum of Southern Florida, at 101 West Flagler Street.
Flamenco Festival USA
January 28-30, 8pm. The festival's first South Florida appearance will feature both flamenco puro and contemporary innovations, bringing together the traditional masters with new upcoming artists. Jackie Gleason Theater, at 1700 Washington Ave.
International Film Festival
February 4-13. It showcases a panoply of acclaimed films from a variety of genres and countries, including world dramatic Ibero-American, world documentary and short films. Late night screenings feature edgy, surprising, quirky or controversial film for the late-night audience. Have various locations throughout Miami-Dade County.
